Howard J. Gershon, FACHE, Founding Principal New Heights Group

Howard Gershon is a founding Principal of New Heights Group. He has spent the past 35 years as a health care consultant, specializing in strategic planning, market research, program development and facility development. His work with over 200 psychiatric and substance abuse providers nationwide has included performing comprehensive market analyses that considers local, state and national trends to predict utilization of specific behavioral health services; conducting primary research of users, physicians and gatekeepers; assessing program feasibility – both market and financial; evaluating service and program mix; making investment/ divestment recommendations; developing strategic and marketing plans; facilitating integration initiatives among providers; and evaluating facility needs; and preparing facility plans for expansion or renovation.

Mr. Gershon is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Fellow and past chair of the board of directors of the American Association of Healthcare Consultants. He has served on the board of the Health Services Management and Policy Alumni Association at The George Washington University, is listed in “Who’s Who in Health Care”, is a member of Strategic Health Care Marketing’s Editorial Advisory Board, and has participated as a panel member or speaker in workshops and seminars on various hospital and health related issues. Mr. Gershon is a frequent contributor to the health care literature with articles and quotes appearing in “Hospitals and Health Networks”, “Healthcare Executive”, “Modern Healthcare”, “Health Care Strategic Management” and “Journal of Healthcare Management.”
